If you have sensitive skin go to you local drug store and pick up a bottle of Vitamn E oil. Apply that twice a day with a cotton ball to your scar and it should lighten up some.

I have the same problem and for the past two weeks I started using products that minimizes pores. I use Olay Definity deep penetrating foaming UV moisturizing. As well as an astringent before the moisturizer. It's also important to wash your face twice a day. It would really help if I knew what type of face you have: oily, sensitive, dry, light, dark, etc.

i didnt know that u have to put dab the toothpaste only on the pimple, but what i did i put toothpaste all over my cheeks for overnight and next thing when i woke up in the morning my face was all red and burnt.Whats should i do.And plus whats gonna work for me.im on a very tight budget.It worked for the pimple it dried it out but left a huge red mark on my cheeks.If i put hydroquinone will it help??Ane how many days till the skin would recover.any idea how to fade away the reddess.Pls help me. haha thats a funny story. but getting down to business. ummm i dont have much experience in the pimple department (i got lucky) but when i do get an occassional zit, heres what i do: first wash it with water and face soap (neutrogena has high quality but cheap wash) then put a very small dab of mint toothpaste on the zit and leave it for at least 3 hours, not too long though. other than that, try not to touch it and wash ur face day and night.

Facial Pack For Oily Skin :

* Mix 2 teaspoon of Fullers earth with 2 teaspoon of chilled rose water to a thick paste. Apply on the face with a brush, avoiding the delicate areas around the eyes. Leave it on for about 20 minutes or till completely dry. Rinse with warm water. The results is a pinkish youthful skin.

How to make pimple come to a head?
I have been putting a warm/hot cloth on it for a LONG time and still nothing. I need to pop it (don't tell me not to, I don't need to hear that) as soon as possible. For me, they scar if I do not pop them because there is still the plug under the skin.
What else can I try? I used toothpaste and it did not help.

Don't put drying agents on it. Your skin will actually start producing MORE oil because it thinks it's too dry. Use a gentle cleanser and keep up with the warmth. Yes, i too pop my pimples. I pop mine with a needle, they drive me crazy and if you manage to prick even a tiny hole in it, all the bad juices can then gently be squeezed out and you're on your way!
Ensure your needle is sterilised so you don't get an infection. If you are really sensitive to pain, you could try applying some anasthetic cream which will numb it first (I LOVE that stuff, has so many uses)

AFAIK they scar and holes if you pop it.. if you leave it to heal itself the scar may seem to remain but your skin does not loose its evenness. popping makes all holes in the skin and the moment your skin becomes loose it shows up..
but if you still want to go about it.. show a dermatologist. S/he will give u cream to reduce the oil glands secretion in your skin. Believe me it will be a long term improvement.
SOME times they just wont come up and just start retreating. I just had one recently like that. Have you tried a face steam? Be careful after water boils, turn off and stand over it with towel over head to get steam on face for a couple minuents but please be careful.

Take a cotton swab and keep dabbing the pimple, the alcohol should draw out it out and to a head.
That and hot water will work along with the alcohol
Vaseline has always worked for me.
This might sound a bit painful but it's what I do... I get a really thin needle-like nail (actuall a needle would work too) and I just kind of... pop it... It might bleed a little though. Make sure the needle is clean.
I have pretty good skin and I've never gotten scarring before (and I pop them when I do get them... i just have to!).
I also use a needle/nail for black heads too. It just takes some playing around with.
Aspirin contains Beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant ,so you can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
MM could always try getting a wet towel and put tons of pressure on it 2 ur head and move it back and forth real quick, should make it go away.

Lets say you have pretty normal skin and your not sensitive to products, the fastest way to go would be to have a few sessions of Microdermabrasion. It's not going to get ';rid'; of the scarring but it will even out the dermal layers of the skin. Another way to treat acne scarring would be chemical peels. There are great peels that are made of Betahydroxy acid and alphahydroxy acid, also a much less painful one would be a Lactic acid peel which is made from Lactose.
All of these treatments are available at a Local spa or you can have them done at a dermatologists' office. An actual dermatologist will be able to determine the best plan, but it will take a while. My professional opinion; go to your nearest Day Spa and ask to be analyzed by licensed esthetician. Question them about a few sessions of Microdermabrasion, and try that out. That would be the quickest way to reduce the scarring. Good Luck

I have a pimple and the concealer just isnt working?
I have concealer and blush and foundation etc...but everything I try just isnt working. I have washed my face with acne wash, tried to cover it was makeup (but my face just looked caked with makeup), and i even got concealer, although the blemish just shows through and there was no exact match to my skin tone, so i just try to rub in the concealer so it doesnt look so off color. I have the same thing - huge pimple on my face. So annoying. Ok, so, here's what to do.
To get rid of the pimple:
There's a little gadget out called the Zeno that directs heat onto the pimple and kills the bacteria. I didn't think that it would work, but it honestly did - I couldn't believe it. Pimple was gone in 2 days flat. They're a bit pricey, but I think of it as the cost of not having an awful looking pimple on your face. The only thing is that you have to use it right when the pimple is starting to form. (Totally missed it this time cause I was out of town - bummer!) So, if you missed that window, you need something that will dry it out. Look for products that have Tea Tree Oil, Salicylic Acid or Benzyl Peroxide. One of the best ones that I know about it called Biogenesis Drying Lotion. Seriously, it works overnight.
To conceal:
You're going to need a concealer to cover it up. There's this one called Judith August The Everything Pencil Erase Zit that actually covers up the pimple while treating it. There are other products like that as well. That one is a pencil that you can just kind of blend in. If you're using a liquid or cream-based concealer, dab it in with your fingertips. You can also find some concealer pallets that let you mix and match the colors to get a tone that matches you. There's another Judith August product (this lady is the Queen of concealers - really!) called Killer Cover and it will cover up just about anything. (I mean anything...my friend covered up an entire tattoo, no problem for a wedding.) It has 5 colors that you can blend for the best tone. A cheaper version is called be PROFESSIONAL All-Around Cover, which is $18 at www.bebeautiful.com. You'll dab this over the pimple and blend outward with your fingers. Then use a facial powder to help set it. Don't press that in too much though or it will give you that cake look that you're worried about. Also, remember to bring some for later to touch up and stop touching your face! I know I always end up doing that, but that just takes off the concealer and adds more bacteria into the pimple. If it is just the 1 or odd pimple washing your face with an acne wash would be far to harsh and only dry it out.
Try washing with Cetaphil or Juliet's have a natural wash that smells like lemons but is non drying, they also have a range of all natural moisturisers that are fantastic.
There is also an acne gel in the range that is natural %26amp; won't dry out your skin, %26amp; a really handy spot treatment you can carry with you to use as soon as you feel something coming up.
If you normally wear foundation then apply as usual (mineral foundation gives a natural flawless look, but if you are using these apply the concealer first) if the spot is very inflamed/red you could try a green corrective stick to tone down the redness, then gently apply your concealer with a brush.
As far as purchasing a concealer that will match your skin tone, I don't think I ever have!!!

I have the same thing - huge pimple on my face. So annoying. Ok, so, here's what to do.
To get rid of the pimple:
There's a little gadget out called the Zeno that directs heat onto the pimple and kills the bacteria. I didn't think that it would work, but it honestly did - I couldn't believe it. Pimple was gone in 2 days flat. They're a bit pricey, but I think of it as the cost of not having an awful looking pimple on your face. The only thing is that you have to use it right when the pimple is starting to form. (Totally missed it this time cause I was out of town - bummer!) So, if you missed that window, you need something that will dry it out. Look for products that have Tea Tree Oil, Salicylic Acid or Benzyl Peroxide. One of the best ones that I know about it called Biogenesis Drying Lotion. Seriously, it works overnight.
To conceal:
You're going to need a concealer to cover it up. There's this one called Judith August The Everything Pencil Erase Zit that actually covers up the pimple while treating it. There are other products like that as well. That one is a pencil that you can just kind of blend in. If you're using a liquid or cream-based concealer, dab it in with your fingertips. You can also find some concealer pallets that let you mix and match the colors to get a tone that matches you. There's another Judith August product (this lady is the Queen of concealers - really!) called Killer Cover and it will cover up just about anything. (I mean anything...my friend covered up an entire tattoo, no problem for a wedding.) It has 5 colors that you can blend for the best tone. A cheaper version is called be PROFESSIONAL All-Around Cover, which is $18 at www.bebeautiful.com. You'll dab this over the pimple and blend outward with your fingers. Then use a facial powder to help set it. Don't press that in too much though or it will give you that cake look that you're worried about. Also, remember to bring some for later to touch up and stop touching your face! I know I always end up doing that, but that just takes off the concealer and adds more bacteria into the pimple. If it is just the 1 or odd pimple washing your face with an acne wash would be far to harsh and only dry it out.
Try washing with Cetaphil or Juliet's have a natural wash that smells like lemons but is non drying, they also have a range of all natural moisturisers that are fantastic.
There is also an acne gel in the range that is natural %26amp; won't dry out your skin, %26amp; a really handy spot treatment you can carry with you to use as soon as you feel something coming up.
If you normally wear foundation then apply as usual (mineral foundation gives a natural flawless look, but if you are using these apply the concealer first) if the spot is very inflamed/red you could try a green corrective stick to tone down the redness, then gently apply your concealer with a brush.
As far as purchasing a concealer that will match your skin tone, I don't think I ever have!!!

You don't say WHERE it is, but if it's on his chin, it's caused from the bacteria that gets on the rim of a PLASTIC water or food dish. Every time the cat eats or drinks, more bacteria gets on his chin, and causes ';pimples';.
CLEAN the area really well, and put some antibacterial ointment on it. AND........get rid of ALL plastic feeding / watering dishes. Use glass or metal instead. Neither of these will ';harbor'; bacteria like plastic. Of course, you SHOULD be washing those dishes every day when you refill them, anyway.......
If it's not on his chin........it may be something else entirely, and need to see a vet to ascertain what it is and how to deal with it.

first of all, refrain from peeling your pimples to avoid it!
then to avoid having lots of lots of pimples, use creams and gels with Benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid!
That, my friend is no pimple, that is an ingrown hair. It needs to be hot-packed (tea bag that has been boiled, or a real hot towel, wet and microwave) then it'll rear it's ugly head, then you remove the head by squeezing until drainage. I would assume the pain level is close to a womans while giving birth.

Is my pimple clean and moving on?
I only have 3 pimples on my face and they are all big, red and really obvious. The one on my chin secreted all this oil and I think it is clean. The one on my nose however secreted oil and blood, loads of it, but is still sore to touch. So is this clean or do I have another battle ahead? In order to treat acne you need to know why you have it, in other words the ROOT cause. There are three causes of acne. Imbalance hormones, toxic colon(including diet issues), and a toxic congested liver(for thoose with cystic acne). To balance hormones you might want to add essential fatty acids also known as EFAs. To treat a toxic colon you will need to an internal cleansing. I have tried diffrent ones and the best one i found was ';The Colon Cleansing Kit'; from blessedherbs.com. To treat a toxic congested liver(for thoose with cystic), you will have to do a Parasite cleanse, and then you might want to do a liver cleansing. Always works for me :) overnight and its gone.
You wont get anything gone within hours, you leave that to make up and all you need to do is get rid of the redness.

For example my dad is breaking out now after forty years of alabaster skin :) LOL and he is too much of a man to pull out the clearasil :P

This may sound gross but:
2 TB spoon lemon juice
3 TB spoon Honey
1 egg WHITE
a little rubbing alcohol
Mix it together thoroughly and place evenly on face
let set for on face for 1 min
clean thoroughly off with warm water (just do it right after you get in the shower, so you can hop back in the clean it off without having it in your clean dry hair)
Then rinse your clean face with cold water to close your pores.
If you double the recipe and leave out the alcohol you can use it to make your hair shiny. it works!
Don't pop it! that would only make it worse and last longer and look worse and bigger. go to the store and buy a type of cream or set of creams that pinpoint your pimple and get rid of them as soon as possible. you can't just make it disappear. also use some cover up that is also an acne fighting make up. target has plenty of choices for you there.

4. And the old stand by...Clearasil.
There's alittle tool for removing stubborn pimples. It has a kind of loop on end. you should be able to make something similar witha paperclip. take one end of the clip and make the loop smaller. then press it around the pimple and drag gently. Should pop it and get it pretty deep. then wash well with antibacterial soap.

toothpaste helps ... drinking water........... try making a homade facemask ...honey yogurt and banana and leave it in the fridge for 10 mins that is what i do ......... popping it will only help if you get the pus out..........then when the pimple is open put water and toothpaste on it and any cream that you use..............
Try proactive! Its awessome 1800- proactive! It works really good and you could also try the wave at your local drug store for around 10-15 dollars. Other than that just dont touch it at ALL and wash your face DAY AND NIGHT. EVERY DAY AND NIGHT. Maybe even 3 times a day if your face is greasy.

Pop it, then while its red and it's kind of bleeding put some face cream on it. It's better when the pimple or a zit is open it works a lot better.

squeeze the skin around your zit until your zit bleeds, that will get all the gunk out. then put a clean bandaid on and keep it dry for a few days.
Stop sticking your fingernals or other crap into your zits as this causes scares only squeeze your zits from the outside skin so the gunk bursts to the surface. Never squeze your zit if it does not have a visible head...
if it is really nasty... see a doctor.
First, wash your hands so bacteria dont get in it. Then put some neosporin ointment on it. It will go away quickly!
i use this lotion things it like fast active release.. i think its from nutragina but im not sure.. its in a little white tube and has like blue or purple font with some orange font.. (i think!)

Hi Amy K! I used a product made by A S A P. Its called Clearskin Gel. 'It has been scientifically formulated to contain Salicyclic Acid and a 15.5% AHA complex buffered to pH3.7. It also contains Bilberry Extract and Green Tea to refine skin colour and texture'. I give this product a 10/10 and will get rid of a pimple overnight. I know you said its gotta be quick, but this product is great to have for these kind of emergencies. Its the only product that has really worked for me. You could try lemon juice because of the acid. Also try drinking lots of water to flush out your system! Hope this helps you anyways. Oh, also been told Apple Cider Vinegar.
first do not squeeze it, it will make it worse. Then wrap some ice in a cotton makeup round and hold it against the pimple to take away redness. Then apply a good pimple cream and wash the whole area regularly.
hold ice next to it for 5-10 minutes, this is gonna hurt, but trust me once you take the ice of, it will be smaller.
I just get it over with and pop it then put clerasil on it. And before i go to sleep at night use clean and clear on my face and will be gone before you know it. Then if it does leave a mark then do the toothpaste act.

Pop it then put an antibiotic ointment on it. After an hour or so (to allow the skin to close up some) apply Preparation H to the bump. I know this sounds silly but Preparation H has Phenylephrine HCI which acts as a constricting agent therefore shrinking the bump and reducing the pain and redness too. Hi Amy K! I used a product made by A S A P. Its called Clearskin Gel. 'It has been scientifically formulated to contain Salicyclic Acid and a 15.5% AHA complex buffered to pH3.7. It also contains Bilberry Extract and Green Tea to refine skin colour and texture'. I give this product a 10/10 and will get rid of a pimple overnight. I know you said its gotta be quick, but this product is great to have for these kind of emergencies. Its the only product that has really worked for me. You could try lemon juice because of the acid. first do not squeeze it, it will make it worse. Then wrap some ice in a cotton makeup round and hold it against the pimple to take away redness. Then apply a good pimple cream and wash the whole area regularly.

5. Apply the tissue oil to your face, applying it equally to each part of your face.Massage it in for 5 minutes, and then leave it until you go to bed.

Dont clean your face a whole lot, but try for 2 times a day.

If's its smaller than your nostil, then putting toothpaste on it overnight, ONLY overnight will either, make it less noticeable or decrease it half its size. If you, for some odd reason, dont have toothpaste, use vicks vapor rub. but toothpaste works way better.
But remember these techniques only work if used at night. Not during the day.
use a non gel tooth paste thats really strong put it on yur pimple it will shrink its size or disipear(put it on at night before you go to sleep the longer the tooth paste is on the faster its going to go away)
use clearsel ultra before putting on the toothpaste.anyother face wash can work too and one last tip never use body soap on your face cause your face is going to break out

the alcohol will dry the area you apply it to very very dry, but if you decide to use the alcohol, be sure to use a moisturizer after the pimple dries out... also, what i do is either use baking soda mixed with water into a paste, toothpaste (with baking soda) or liquid antacid (maalox, mylanta, etc.)... the antacid works best for me though... hope this helps...

the alcohol will dry the area you apply it to very very dry, but if you decide to use the alcohol, be sure to use a moisturizer after the pimple dries out... also, what i do is either use baking soda mixed with water into a paste, toothpaste (with baking soda) or liquid antacid (maalox, mylanta, etc.)... the antacid works best for me though... hope this helps...

Try toothpaste, or better yet, Wal-Mart and Family Dollar stores sell a face mask, (only about $3) it is called something like Queen Helenes Mint Julep face mask. It works really well. It also helps with shrinking your pores.

And by the way, since I somehow stumbled into this category, y'all need to quit using soap on your faces. I use to be a sales rep for lotions, bath salts, soaps, etc..... and soap is bad for you. You should just use a light scrubbing material on your skin and let your body do the natural cleaning itself. I'm 53 and I only shampoo my hair and don't use any other products on my body ever at all. And I have very good skin. Do this while you are still young, save your skin and save your money.
The only exception to this is that lotions, if good quality, are good for you.

How do i get rid of a pimple faster?
what is the best method? i have some pimples on my chin and i want to get rid of them, hopefully by tomorrow! does the toothpaste method work? i break out on my chin a lot.How do i get rid of a pimple faster?
Toothpaste does work yes. I have sometimes used this method and they have gone the next day! I used to suffer badly when i was a teen. I am 22 now and hardly get any. I use a face wash called Decleor Face wash. It's a light green colour and has no harsh chemicals in, only natural ingredients. I use this morning and night and it keeps them away, it's really good. Decleor also have another product called Aroma Purete. This comes in a little yellow tube and you put this on your pimple while you sleep. Wake up the next morning and its gone. I used to use it every night! Great stuff. Also, never used products like Clearasil and things from the supermarket becuase these make your pimples WORSE becuase of the harsh chemicals in them. Some people dissagree but I have spoken with many dermatolagists about it.How do i get rid of a pimple faster?
Well obviously you can't go to the store because I'm guessing it's pretty late where you are (it's 12:57am here in Boston). Anyway, DO NOT POP YOUR PIMPLES!! This can cause ugly dark colored scars. Don't!!! Instead, take a wash cloth and run it under very hot water, wait a second, and then place it on the pimple until it starts cooling down and then place the washcloth under the hot water again and put back on your pimple. Keep doing this . . . it may take a few minutes, but eventually the hot water will have opened the pores and the pus (gross!!) will come out on its own. You may have to push it a little with the washcloth but this will work and is far better than popping it with your fingers! Afterwards wash it with cold water to close the pores and then if you want you can put the toothpaste on just for tonight. Good luck.
Try buying PanOxyl face wash with 10% benzoyl. It's a blue and white tube. You can find it at a pharmacy like Walgreen's or something. I used to break out a lot between my eyebrows and now my face is completely cleared. Don't try to pop them or else you'll have a bunch of ugly marks on your face.

I find tea tree oil works well for me. Clean your skin first (using an exfoliator) then apply tea tree oil - it closes pores. Hopefully, it will work tomorrow but you should try it as a long term solution too! if all else fails, concealer is great. good luck

I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

the best thing for a pimple is rubbing alcohol.
and don't touch it.
Don't pop it either.that could cause more junk to get in there.
Plus no one wants scars on their face, the scars when you get old turn into things that look like holes on your face.
now blackheads are a different story,You NEED to pop them, Unlike pimples they don't heal by themselves. Once popped use a little rubbing alcohol.
