No this is not a normal occurrence for any dog. And anything that is not normal should be vet checked.





Please take him to the vet because if it is an infection it will need specialised treatment.

No! it should have been vet checked! If it doesnt look a lot better by tomorrow I'd have your vet look at it before it get's very infected!

It sounds like it could be a spider bite. My dog had the samething happen to him. I have worked as an asistant vet for about two years so I give my own dogs thier shots. Well anyway I gave my dog a shot of penicillin which help heal it over night. You can get it at a farm store,or feed store. Even if it is not a spider bite it will still boost your dog's healing quicker. They already have a fast healing process, but sometimes they need a bit more help. It will also stop infection even if it already begun. It will not harm your dog. depending on the size of your dog 1cc should be enough. If very large 2cc's. Make sure your suringe needle is a no.2
