No, herpes can only be spread by an active blister or cold sore that is the result of the virus. Since a pimple isn't caused by the virus you can't spread the virus with it.Can Herpes simplex (h1) be spread through a pimple? What if the pimple is open?
yes-no matter what ur body has herpes-

it just takes a out break to see them-if it wer true that u cant catch it unless it was a outbreak the tattooist etc wouldnt wear gloves on 100% of the clients. herpes is one of the highest spread disease around. because u dont think about it till u see it. touchin a door handle (with it on there) and touch ur pimple u can get it. up to 1 hour they live on hard surface-i have my bloodborn book in front of me-from the state. any body part open-wonded-soft tissue can absorb. the outlines in this par. is ''nose/eyes/mouth/nail beds/scratches/ears/genitals/blemishes on body''
Often we use the term pimple to define any one of a number of different types of skin eruptions caused with anyone of a number of causes.

While even the word acne is not very specific, it does connotate skin eruptions caused by infected and/or blocked skin pores. If your pimple is truly and fully of the acne type, then it cannot spread it's owner's h1. It is however, an opening in the skin, particularly if it is open/broken (broken through the skin), through which the owner's oozing h1 outbreak or h1 skin eruption can enter causing spreading of the outbreak within the owner. It is also an opening in the skin through which someone else's oozing h1 outbreak or h1 skin eruption can enter thus infecting the pimple owner with h1 or causing the pimple owner to have a fresh h1 outbreak or series of outbreaks.

Go back and read the tattoo artist's answer. Herpes simplex (h1) is not something you want or want to spread around. Although we know a bit about it, there are still things that we are learning about it that are not nice. Further, while the ooze from an h1 outbreak is typically clear, there are times that an h1 outbreak looks more like an actual acne type of pimple with whitish, infected ooze.
