Is it normal to have a pimple on the labia majora?

Yikes! So painful. I get them too. But my Dr. calls thems boils...= (. Sometimes ointments work; or I take oral medication? I can't remember what kind. Sorry. I usually just use my ';illegal, bought in Mexico'; Retin A. and it dries it up in a few days.

Try warm compresses sometimes that will bring the ';pimple'; to a head and start to heal faster.

Bffer1, has a point, it could by a STD...you might need to have a Dr. check it out.Is it normal to have a pimple on the labia majora?
It's quite common, and doesn't mean you're not washing enough. Nylon panties may contribute, even if they have a cotton panel there. The pores there are different than the pores elsewhere, and on some people they clog easily and cannot have their contents ';manually expressed'; (popped).

They respond to acne remedies, but applying it and waiting for the stuff to dry is a pain.

There's also the possibility it's an ingrown hair, which acts like a pimple but doesn't respond to pimple medications. Is it normal to have a pimple on the labia majora?
Inside or outside? If it's an area where you shave, you may just have an ingrown hair that has become infected and became a boil. Time and some warm compresses will solve that.

If it's something that is on the outside and won't go away or recurrs, it may be hiperdentisis suppera (not sure about the spelling, HS for short), a skin condition related to acne. It can't be cured, but it can be treated. Your gynecologist or a dermatologist can tell you for sure if that is what it is.

If it's inside...you need to see your doctor about it. It could be a number of things, including an STD.

You should get it checked out anyway, just to be on the safe side.
Not really....

Do you shave there?

If so, you may have cause irritation.

You should probably get that checked out by a doctor.

Good luck.
Yes. I've had one. Just keep yourself clean. It will go away.
